How to use the furniture materials configurator

Use this 3D furniture materials configurator to compare finish combinations before choosing a piece. Select a piece and size, then swap the frame wood, upholstery and legs while viewing the result from different angles.

1. Choose a Piece from the available furniture options.
2. Select a Size for that piece.
3. Choose a Frame wood finish from the swatches.
4. If the piece is upholstered, choose an Upholstery swatch.
5. Select a Legs style, review the illustrative price, and share the configuration if needed.

What to enter

Piece

Choose the furniture piece to configure. Changing the piece also applies that piece’s default size and leg style, while keeping your selected wood and upholstery when available.

Size

Choose one of the sizes available for the selected piece.

Frame wood

Choose a wood finish using the labeled color swatches. The label shows the currently selected finish.

Upholstery

For upholstered pieces, choose a fabric color swatch. This option is not shown for pieces without upholstery.

Legs

Choose one of the leg styles available for the selected piece.

Example: compare two chair finishes

Choose an upholstered piece, select a size, and pick a frame wood finish. Choose an upholstery swatch and a leg style, then drag the 3D preview to inspect the combination. Change the wood or legs to compare another version; the estimated price and breakdown update with the selection. Use “Share this configuration” to share the current setup.

How the configurator works

The tool displays a simplified parametric 3D model made from furniture parts. Your selections change the part materials, colors and available piece options in the preview. The estimated price is recalculated for the selected piece, size, wood, upholstery and legs, then shown as a total with a line-by-line breakdown. Prices are displayed in whole US dollars and are illustrative rather than a quote.

Reading the results

Drag the preview to rotate the furniture. Pinch or scroll to zoom. The estimated price appears below the controls, followed by the price breakdown. A line marked “included” adds no extra amount; other lines show an added dollar amount. Select “Share this configuration” to use your device’s share feature or copy a link to the current configuration.

Limitations and common mistakes

• The preview is a simplified parametric model, not a product render.
• The displayed prices are illustrative and not a quote. Actual prices can vary by maker, materials grade and region.
• Available sizes, leg styles and upholstery choices depend on the selected piece.
• The preview shows finish colors and material appearance, but it cannot confirm the exact texture, grain or fabric feel in person.
