Stage a living room in a Scandinavian style

Upload a photo of an empty living room. Leave Virtual staging selected, keep Living room and Scandinavian, and optionally add a prompt such as "Keep the room light and uncluttered." The result is a conceptual furnished living room with a comfortable sofa, coffee table, area rug, floor lamp, accent chair, and media console. The design keeps the same walls, windows, and floor in the generated direction.

How the virtual staging works

The tool uses the uploaded room photo as an image-generation starting point. For Virtual staging, it combines the selected room and style with a room-specific furnishing list, then generates one image while guiding the result to preserve the room structure. It asks for furniture to stand on the floor with realistic shadows and excludes an empty room, floating furniture, and construction debris. For Variations, it uses the same room layout and generates the selected number of concepts, from 2 to 4, using different generation seeds.

Reading the results

The result is a conceptual visualization of the selected room and style. Virtual staging returns one generated concept. Variations return the number of concepts you requested so you can compare different directions. Use the images for mood, furniture direction, and early layout discussion, not as exact plans.

Limitations and common mistakes

  • AI images can change proportions, invent details, or misplace openings. Check the real room before making decisions.
  • The images are conceptual visualizations, not architectural drawings. Do not use them for measurements, structure, or permits.
  • The generated furniture is a visual suggestion. The image does not provide exact product dimensions, specifications, or purchasing information.
  • Generation depends on the image service being available. Results can differ between generated concepts.

Frequently asked questions

What is AI virtual staging?

It is an image tool that adds conceptual furniture and decor to a room photo. It is intended to help you explore a room’s mood and furnishing direction.

Can I stage an empty living room photo?

Yes. Choose Living room and Virtual staging, then select a style such as Scandinavian, Modern, or Coastal. The living room furnishing direction includes seating, a coffee table, an area rug, lighting, an accent chair, and a media console.

How many virtual staging designs can I generate?

Virtual staging generates one concept. Choose Variations to request 2, 3, or 4 concepts using the same room layout.

Which rooms and styles are available?

Rooms include Bedroom, Living room, Kitchen, Bathroom, Dining room, and Home office. Styles include Modern, Scandinavian, Japandi, Industrial, Boho, Farmhouse, Mid-century, Coastal, Minimalist, and Luxury.

Will virtual staging preserve my room layout?

The staging direction asks the generated image to keep the same walls, windows, and floor. AI can still change proportions or misplace openings, so treat the result as a concept rather than a measured representation.
